
Rules & Regulations
- Three events in one competition: swimming, biking, running (In that order).
- The swimming leg is 1.5 kilometers.
- The biking leg is 40 kilometers.
- The running leg is 10 kilometers.
- Athletes must supply their own equipment.
- Athletes must be courteous to others on the course.
History
- The Triathlon is the newest sport added, making it popular in the 2000 Olympics, hosted by Sydney, Australia.
- It was first invented in 1978 in San Diego, California. It grew and became popular, eventually spreading globally.
Objective
- Race to the finish line first in order to secure a gold medal!
Scoring
- There is no form of scoring other than racing to the finish line.
Records
- The records set vary for each competition because of different distances for each event, therefore there is no definite record.
